The Shop at Renaissance holds a unique perspective to retail in the golfing industry. The Shop at Renaissance aims to address our members’ apparel and equipment needs with attention to detail and luxury. In addition to providing the best golf apparel and equipment, the staff is here to help members with custom tailoring.
As a member of Renaissance, you are able to set an appointment to help customize your wardrobe. Whether you are looking for a complete clothing makeover or simply just need one or two pieces for the upcoming season, we will build your suit, sport coat, tuxedo, dress shirt or trousers to your exactly your specifications. With more than 500 fabric swatches from around the world at your fingertips, you can rest assured that the quality and fit of your garment is incomparable to any other.
We also feel that exclusive brands are important to our membership and therefore we carry a number of exclusive brands in addition to carrying apparel from several of the finest golf outfitters such as Fairway & Greene, Peter Millar and Dunning.
The Shop itself also has a special story to tell that we feel embodies the Renaissance spirit. The lumber used to build The Shop came from an old tobacco barn in western Virginia that was destined to be thrown into a land fill or burned down. Naturally weathered by more than a century of use, the wood is rich in grain, beautiful in color and solid with age. The affect of sun, wind and rain cannot be duplicated in fast grown new wood. Every effort is made to preserve the natural aged beauty of each board and we used time tested traditional craftsmen to build The Shop.
The Shop is a small piece of American heritage and at the same time has helped save a portion of the environment by utilizing reclaimed wood. We believe that quality, a sense of history and the environment are all dwindling resources. In our own small way, The Shop at Renaissance brings that home one board at a time.
